Full course description
The Public School Facilities, Transportation and Ancillary Services course addresses the planning and oversight of key non-instructional services that ensure safe, efficient, and effective school operations. Topics include facilities management, capital improvement planning, energy conservation, transportation operations, food service, and procurement practices. Students will develop the ability to manage vendor relationships, evaluate service models, and lead infrastructure projects while aligning with student needs, public expectations, and regulatory frameworks.
The course runs Spring miniterm II and begins on on March 16, 2026 and ends on May 27, 2026. The first synchronous online session begins on March 19, 2026. There will be a mandatory synchronous Zoom session once a week.
